Allantoin can be incorporated into appropriately formulated:

For conventional alkaline soaps, confirm stability and compatibility before use. Adding Allantoin at trace does not, by itself, establish its suitability for cold-process soap.

How to Use

Starting concentration: Approximately 0.05–0.3% can be used as a formulation-development range, subject to the supplied grade’s technical instructions.

Add to the water phase and mix thoroughly. Controlled warming to approximately 50°C may assist dissolution; incorporation at room temperature with stirring is another option.

Allantoin has limited water solubility at room temperature. Higher concentrations can recrystallize as the product cools, so check the finished formulation during stability testing.

A formulation pH of approximately 4–8 is a general development guideline, not a guaranteed specification for every formula.

Example: A 100 g trial batch at 0.2% contains 0.2 g Allantoin, with the remaining ingredients making up the total batch weight.

Keep the container tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid inhaling dust and contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
